Insert Microchip
Insert the UID UCT-2112 temperature-sensing microchip subcutaneously. Each chip provides a unique animal ID plus ±0.1°C body-temperature resolution.
Continuous, hands-free, objective monitoring of biomarkers for individual or group-housed animals. Track temperature, location, activity, and spatial preference in the home-cage environment — 24/7, without disturbance.
The Mouse Matrix is an RFID-enabled monitoring system that tracks individual animal location, movement, and temperature continuously — without physical disturbance. Implant a UID UCT-2112 microchip in each animal and place the antenna plate under the cage to capture animal ID, temperature, and zone location in every scan. Data streams directly to the Mouse Matrix Software in real-time for instant, accurate insights.
Unlike video-based systems, Mouse Matrix works reliably through the dark phase when rodents are most active. Mouse Matrix captures comprehensive data with limited handling, no repeated sensor placement, and no disturbance to the home cage environment.
Mouse Matrix is engineered for minimal installation burden. From microchip to live data dashboard in three straightforward steps.
Insert the UID UCT-2112 temperature-sensing microchip subcutaneously. Each chip provides a unique animal ID plus ±0.1°C body-temperature resolution.
Slide the Mouse Matrix plate under the cage. The plate polls its antenna zones continuously — every mouse, every zone transition, every temperature read.
Matrix software captures temperature and location data every 100–250 ms. Access the data in real time or export to Excel for analysis.
Every design decision in Mouse Matrix traces back to one goal: accurate, individual-level data from undisturbed animals at any hour.
Simultaneous, individual-animal tracking of body temperature, locomotor activity, and spatial preferences — in one system.
High-frequency polling captures sub-second zone transitions and short activity bursts that slower systems miss entirely.
Track up to five group-housed mice per cage with individual ID — no separation, no single-housing artifacts.
Continuous monitoring works through lights-off, when rodents are most active. No video and no IR — RFID reads reliably in total darkness.
Choose plate configuration to match your study: 6- and 8-zone plates for mice, 12-zone plates for rats or other larger rodents.
Thin-profile plates fit high-density IVC racks (including Innovive InnoRack) and standard static cages with no modifications.
Start with a rental to validate your protocol. Purchase for long-term vivarium-wide deployment. Both paths include full installation and software.
Minimum 2 plates, 3-month rental.
What’s included
Minimum 1–2 plates for small-scale studies. Scales with additional plates for vivarium-wide deployment.
What’s included
All three platforms share the same UID UCT-2112 microchip ecosystem. Your choice depends on study size, data needs, and infrastructure.
