The all-in-one solution for identifying, monitoring, and managing fish in ponds, lakes, and research settings.

UID has developed a streamlined and user-friendly PIT Tag Reader Kit, designed with both field convenience and data accuracy in mind.

Each kit includes:

  • URH-2 Portable Reader for scanning and identifying tagged fish fish
  • 10 PIT tags* (2.1mm x 12mm) preloaded in sterile, single-use injectors
  • Six barcode ID stickers per tag for fast, error-free data capture

All components are neatly organized in a portable case for easy transport and storage. The case also provides added protection against dust and other environmental conditions, making it ideal for use at lakesides, hatcheries, and field research sites.

Barcode ID Stickers

The included barcode labels are ideal for simplifying data collection in outdoor environments. Anglers and researchers can easily tag fish right at the water’s edge and use the barcode stickers to record vital details such as length, weight, species, tagging date, lure or bait used, and location. This information can be quickly written onto a printed Excel form using a pen-and-paper method, then digitized later for more in-depth tracking and analysis.
