The AnyCage Temperature Monitoring System Data Collector Software is designed to provide continuous, automated tracking of rodent body temperature within their home cages. By integrating with the AnyCage readers, the program captures temperature data in real time, enabling researchers to monitor physiological changes without disturbing the animals.
Each reader operates at a high sampling rate, collecting data every 100 milliseconds. However, actual temperature recordings are event-driven and occur when an animal enters the antenna’s detection range.
The system supports group housing and scalable monitoring, accommodating up to five mice per cage.
