Easy to Use
Quick and simple insertion with pre-assembled cannula
UID Microchips offer a reliable, convenient and permanent method for positive identification of laboratory animals. When activated by a compatible reader, the passive, battery-free transponder provides a unique, alphanumeric code for accurate identification of animals. UID microchips also have on-board memory (16 characters) that enables read/write programming, allowing researchers to program them with useful “human readable” data, such as study or project number, genotype or animal date of birth. The transponders are designed for non-surgical implantation in animals as small as young mice and larger species. They come pre-assemble inside triple-ground needle in sterile blister packs for safe and easy insertion. Microchip programming can be done prior to implantation while in their sterile cannula using the UPS-60 Provisioning Station, or after implantation in the animal using the UBS-200 Base Station.
